About the company

the <wit> project was founded in 2019 by two young Latinas with untraditional tech backgrounds who were troubled by the limited access they experienced as they embarked on their careers as software engineers. In navigating these difficulties, they realized that community was the most effective way to stay committed, celebrate authenticity, and most of all, create a sense of belonging for themselves and other women in this field.

Our community at the <wit> project embraces individuals underserved in the tech industry and empowers them to unleash their potential by becoming leaders in social change.

About the role

Project Leads will be dedicated to a team of 6 students. You and 1-2 additional project leads will be responsible for coordinating and delivering key components of a student’s program structure, like weekly one-on-ones and study groups, and act as their go-to technical resource as they work through the program. You’ll work with fellow Project Leads and Head of Programming to develop and deliver training material, troubleshoot project issues, build community within our student body, and overall create productive, inspired, employable practitioners of a technical craft. To learn more about our program journey, please review this document.

Note: This is a volunteer opportunity.
