About the nonprofit

the <wit> project was founded in 2019 by two young Latinas with untraditional tech backgrounds who were troubled by the limited access they experienced as they embarked on their careers as software engineers. In navigating these difficulties, they realized that community was the most effective way to stay committed, celebrate authenticity, and most of all, create a sense of belonging for themselves and other women in this field.

Our community at the <wit> project embraces individuals underserved in the tech industry and empowers them to unleash their potential by becoming leaders in social change.

About the role

A critical component of our programming involves mentorship and career advising from individuals who are passionate about our mission and have held technology-focused roles. Each fellow will be paired with a mentor and expected to meet on a monthly frequency. Mentors will be provided a guide with topics to discuss and goals to set with their mentee which will align with their experience in the program.

Optionally, mentors may continue the mentorship relationship with their mentees after the completion of the <wit> program journey. To learn more about our program journey, please review this document.
